What's New
Stay up to date with the latest features, improvements, and fixes on uni.xyz.
May 2026
Large Image Uploads Now Reliable
Very large images (over 16 megapixels) now upload and display correctly. Previously, extremely high-resolution photos could silently fail during processing — this is now fixed.
Collaborators Team Protected From Accidental Deletion
The primary Collaborators team on your project can no longer be accidentally deleted. The delete button is hidden for collaborators teams, and error messages now clearly explain why a team or member cannot be removed.
Your Competition Entries Now Load Completely
Your profile dashboard previously only showed up to 20 competition entries, cutting off older registrations. It now loads all your entries across every competition, and they appear newest-first so your recent work is always at the top.
Membership Entry Quota Fixes
Fixed several issues with how competition entries are counted against your membership quota: entry counts now reset correctly when you renew your membership, free competition categories no longer consume your entry quota, and Senior membership holders now receive their included competition entry.
Competition Entry Count Display Fixed
Fixed an inconsistency where the entry count shown on the awards and fees page could differ from the pricing details. Competition entry counts now display consistently across all pages.
Award Closure Email Notifications & Improved Payout Flow
Winners now receive email notifications when an award closure is initiated. The payout page has been updated with clearer status indicators, making it easier to track where you are in the payment process.
Project Editor: Media Deletion Fixed
Fixed a bug in the project editor where the delete confirmation dialog buttons were unresponsive, preventing creators from removing media files. The delete flow now works correctly.
Cleaner Image Captions in Articles
Image captions in articles and journals no longer show raw HTML markup. Captions now render as clean, readable text.
Community Feed in Journals
A new Community feed is now available in the Journals sidebar. Browse all posts from the broader uni.xyz community in one place, separate from your curated Following feed.
Improved Government & Public Sector Landing Page
The Government & Public Sector industry page now features richer visuals with layered solution cards and per-industry hero images, making it easier for public-sector organisations to understand how UNI supports procurement-compliant design competitions.
April 2026
Report Dialog Fixed for Project Cards
The report dialog now opens correctly centered on screen with a full-viewport backdrop, fixing an issue where it appeared misaligned or left the navbar visible behind it.
Publish Projects Without Limits
You can now publish as many projects as you like, regardless of your membership plan. Previously, free accounts were capped at 5 published projects.
Testimonials Now Linked from Home Page
The home page testimonial carousel now has a "View all testimonials" button that takes you to the full Testimonials Wall. Testimonial photos also load faster and transition more smoothly between slides.
Testimonials Wall Now Shuffles on Every Visit
The testimonials wall now shows quotes in a fresh, randomized order each time you visit — giving every community voice a chance to be seen first.
User Profile Popover Improvements
Hovering over a username now correctly loads profile data, and shows the user's location when no bio is available. Popover cards across the platform are more reliable.
About Page Visual Refresh
The uni.xyz About page now features a richer 3D animation — blended parametric curves with atmospheric fog and volumetric lighting for a more immersive experience.
Testimonials Wall
Explore what the uni.xyz community has to say on the new Testimonials page — featuring an editorial masonry layout, immersive card modals, a live scrolling ribbon, and structured review schema for search visibility.
Profile Bio Sections Now Display Correctly
Achievements, education, and experience entries on your profile now render their content correctly, even when saved in a rich-text format. Previously, some users would see raw formatting code instead of formatted text.
Faster Homepage Load
The uni.xyz homepage now paints the hero section instantly without waiting for data to load, making the experience feel noticeably snappier on first visit.
Publication Publish Button Now Reflects All Required Fields
Fixed an issue where the Publish button on the publication editor could appear incorrectly enabled or disabled. The button now accurately reflects whether your cover image, publication type, and discipline are set, preventing confusing errors when submitting.
New Competition Discovery Sections
The competition feed now includes four new editorial sections -- Popular This Week, New Releases, Hospitality and Leisure Design, and Cultural -- making it easier to find competitions matched to your interests and practice.
Competition Feed Sorting Fixed
Competitions without a deadline date no longer appear at the top of the feed when sorted by date. Listings without deadlines now always sort to the end, keeping the most relevant upcoming opportunities front and centre.
Profile Bio Paragraph Formatting Fixed
Profile bios now correctly preserve paragraph breaks and formatting when saved. Previously, paragraph spacing could be lost or HTML entities could appear in your bio text.
Browse All Ongoing Competitions in One Feed
The competitions feed now shows all currently open competitions at the bottom, sorted by closest registration deadline. After loading curated sections, you can now scroll to discover every open competition on the platform without switching pages.
Smarter Email Unsubscribe
You can now unsubscribe from specific email types (competition updates, blog newsletters, promotional emails, and more) instead of being removed from all emails at once. Just click the unsubscribe link in any email to opt out of that category only.
Contact Form Smart Category Routing
When you reach the contact page from a specific context (like billing, competitions, or technical support), the relevant category is now automatically pre-selected, saving you an extra click.
Journal Editor Dark Mode Polish
The journal editor toolbar and content styling have been refined for dark mode, with improved contrast for formatting controls and a cleaner reading experience on the journal detail page.
Removable Filter Chips on Search Pages
Active filters are now shown as removable chips below the search bar across competitions, projects, inspirations, and journals. You can quickly clear individual filters without reopening the filter panel.

Organization Project Management
Organization admins can now manage and showcase projects directly from the organization dashboard with a dedicated projects tab.
Bulk Organization Invitations
Send up to 50 organization invites in a single batch. A new row appears automatically as you fill each one, with smart user search and auto-fill.
Dark Mode Bottom Navigation Fixed
The bottom navigation bar was nearly invisible in dark mode due to an incorrect glassmorphism setting. Now clearly readable in both themes.
SEO and Sitemaps Overhaul
All sitemaps have been consolidated and optimized for better search engine discoverability. Projects, journals, publications, competitions, organizations, and profiles are now all properly indexed.
Profile Scores No Longer Count Private Projects
Private and unpublished projects were incorrectly included in profile score calculations. Scores are now more accurate and fair.
Unified Search "All" Tab
Platform-wide search now returns grouped results across all content types in a single "All" tab, making it easier to find anything without switching tabs.
