Steyn Studio is a London based international architectural practice that was founded by South African born Coetzee Steyn, in search of a more direct ‘human’ connection with architecture and the natural environment. Since its inception, the works of Steyn Studio have been widely published and received numerous awards. The most recognised work that the studio has completed to date is the Bosjes Chapel, completed in 2017, which steered the studio’s conceptual direction, as well as the more recently completed Garden Café. These works, including projects such as the Oxford Conservatory, explores the emotive strengthening of man’s connection with nature, cultural history and context through the medium of architecture, and also an architecture that seeks to learn what the natural world can teach us.
