Rules
Eligibility
1. UnIATA is open to students of all institutions and nationalities in the field of Architecture, Landscape, Planning and Urban Design at large.
2. All the graduate/master's and undergraduate/bachelor's thesis completed by batches completing their course in years 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 are eligible to take part in UnIADA 2022. Projects already submitted in the previous edition of UnIATA are not eligible for this award but can vote for their favorite projects on Uni.
3. Participation in UnIATA can be made in two modes. Individual / Institution (Details in the next section).
4. Graduation projects in an individual capacity, as well as group, are permitted. All the members have to be added to the project page.
5. For Individuals: The participant should have been enrolled in a full-time graduate/undergraduate program at a university anywhere in the world on the date of creating the project. We will need proof of identity upon the result declaration, confirming the same. You may also produce a bonafide/authorized certificate from the institution as proof of identity.
6. For Group: Participants are allowed to involve one mentor/professor/guide in their team provided the mentor has been authorized via a bonafide certificate of the University.
If there is any successful claim proving that participating individuals/teams have not added the full project team to the project page or plagiarized any component of work without permission the entry will be taken down or will not be eligible for the award. Participants may be requested proof stating their year of enrollment through a letter from their college or university, in case of winning.
Participation
You can enter UnIATA in two modes:
1. Participant only
(Award eligibility: A. Best Masters Thesis Project / B. Best Bachelor's Thesis Project)
Description: As an individual/team of individuals with a single project.
Checklist: Project Submission + FAQ, Complete profile with clearly stated masters/bachelors education in profile. This mode is open for all participants from all around the world submitting their graduation projects as an entry for UnIATA to become eligible for Best Master’s and Bachelor’s thesis projects.
2. Participant + Institution (For Maximum 25 Institutions Only)
(Award eligibility: A. Best Masters Thesis Project / B. Best Bachelor's Thesis Project + C. Best institute for Graduation Projects - Worldwide ‘22)
Description: A set of projects authorized by the institute with minimum 6 and a maximum 12 projects.
Checklist: Everything from above + Letter of Authorization from the institution.
The “Letter of Authorization” from the institute can be submitted by any of the participants on behalf of the set of projects entering UnIATA on this form. The eligible participants can endorse themselves to participate or get suggested by an academic panel. This process can be led by any of the alumni/students/faculty. Base Rules
- Your submission as part of the award is linked to your UNI user account which stands as your identification, we do not have any identification codes.
- Hence, your submission sheets should not include any form of identification or personal information such as your names, organization, city, etc.
- Each competition requires the submission of original work. If referring to an existing work like text, theory, images, or ideas, giving due credit is mandatory. Otherwise, it will be counted as plagiarism.
- The official language of the competitions is English.
- If there are any changes in the competition brief or schedule, they shall be updated on the website.
- When you register for a competition, you are automatically agreeing to the terms and conditions of UNI.
Anybody working with UNI or associated with us is not eligible to participate or receive awards in competitions hosted on UNI. That includes currently working employees at UNI, jury members, community moderators or contract agencies, and their direct relatives.
Disqualification
- The participant or teams will be disqualified in case of unethical practices or disregard for any other competition rules.
- Contacting the jury is strictly prohibited.
- Plagiarism of any idea/design/image/text will be disqualified with a notice.
The competition is protected by our disqualification policy to support fair play in a competitive environment like UNI. Participants are requested to stick to the details in the brief and connect with the curatorial committee on contact@uni.xyz in case of doubts or revisions.

Voting Rules
- People's Choice Award is applicable to all the participants.
- The People's choice award will be given on the basis of a project (in either student or professional category as per the award list) with the most number of authentic likes.
- You can begin receiving likes on the project as soon as you upload your entry (even before the submission deadlines).
- You can share your project on social media/messaging platforms apart from UNI as well as soon as you upload the project. You do not have to wait for the results.
- The voting will close as per the date mentioned in the schedule of the competition page. Any likes coming after this date/time will be not counted in the final calculation.
- Creating fraudulent/fake/bot/impersonating accounts to increase public votes will be considered as unfair means and may lead to disqualification with a notice.
