The marketplace is small and specific. It sells UNI's own books and yearbooks, render credits, one masterclass, and the plans an organization buys in order to work with UNI. It is not a store of members' work, nobody sells through it but UNI, and memberships are not in the browsing catalogue at all. If a membership is what you came for, it has its own page at uni.xyz/market/product/uni-membership.
What is in the catalogue
Open All Products and everything you will meet belongs to one of these:
- UNI Design Explorer, series 3, 4 and 5. Books of selected work, listed volume by volume, which is why they take up most of the page.
- UNI Yearbook 2020, listed the same way.
- Two one-off books.
- Cybertecture Masterclass, a single listing. UNI's courses are a separate thing with their own catalogue: see The course catalogue.
- Render credits, sold in packs, for generating images with the assistant. See Free renders in chat and on the render page.
- Hosting plans, Listing plans and Sponsorship plans, which organizations buy to run, list or sponsor a competition.
- Institutional Access plans for schools and universities. See Institutional Access plans.
That is the whole catalogue, a few dozen listings, twenty to a page. Anything you have bought on UNI that is not on that list, a competition entry for example, was bought somewhere other than the market.
Memberships are sold, they are just not listed here
A UNI Membership is not part of the browsing catalogue, so scrolling the market will never turn one up. It has a page of its own carrying all six tiers, at uni.xyz/market/product/uni-membership, and the tiers are also laid out at uni.xyz/about/designers/membership. Membership tiers covers what each one includes.
Competition entry fees work the same way. You pay them on the competition itself, not through the market.
Two things on the page that are not what they look like
- The seller is always "uni.xyz". Everything in the catalogue is sold by UNI, so this is accurate, but it is a fixed label rather than a field that varies from listing to listing.
- "Highest Rated" does not sort by rating. Nothing in the market is rated by buyers, and no rating is shown on any listing, so the option has nothing to sort on and falls back to newest first. "Featured" sorts by price, most expensive first. The sorts that do what they say are Newest and the two price sorts.
Searching the market
The search box on the market page matches the product name and the group name only. It does not read descriptions. So "yearbook" finds the Yearbook listings, and a phrase you remember from a book's blurb finds nothing.
Market products are also carried by the main search bar at the top of uni.xyz, where they come back under a Market section alongside projects and journals.
