Sustainable Architecture for the Future: Craterre Montpellier
Where architecture and nature unite, creating a stadium that transforms into a green oasis for future generations to enjoy.
A Stadium That Merges with Nature
Craterre Montpellier is a revolutionary architectural concept that redefines the integration of infrastructure and environment. Designed to be a part of nature and seamlessly return to it, this sustainable stadium design is not just a venue but a living green space that enriches the urban landscape.

A Vision of a Green Corridor
This innovative project envisions a "green corridor" that stretches from the north at Le Bosses Nature Reserve and extends southward to the sea, weaving through key urban elements. The result is a harmonious blend of architecture and nature, ensuring that the community can enjoy the space long after its primary function has ended.
Multi-Functional and Community-Centered
The Craterre Stadium is designed as a modular and adaptive structure that serves multiple purposes over time. Initially planned as a high-capacity stadium, it can later transform into a public park, offering walking trails, recreational areas, and a vibrant ecosystem for wildlife and flora.

Designed by Giovanni Vaccarini
This visionary project was conceptualized by Giovanni Vaccarini and earned the Organizer's Choice Award in the Staydium 2020 competition, showcasing its potential as a global model for sustainable architecture.
