About
Adrian Emanuel Subagyo is an architect with interest in discovering the impact of sharing economy to the future of the way we live, work, and play in the form of space as service. He is currently with Wework exploring the realm of space as service in the context of the workplace. He is a registered architect in New York State with global practice experience in Europe, China, and SouthEast Asia, currently based in New York City. Throughout his career he has been involved in renowned iconic projects such as World Trade Center 2 in New York with BIG, Facebook Campus in California with OMA, and Shell Headquarter in The Hague with UNStudio. Aside from his focus on urban work, Adrian was involved in rural development. He developed The White Cube, an alternative scenario of space as service for art that generates capital for a group of vernacular artists through a masterplan development that navigates between the intersection of arts, architecture, and economic development in Lusanga in Congo. The White Cube in collaboration with Dutch artist, Renzo Martens, exhibited in 2017 in Sculpture Center New York as an attempt to search for an alternative medium of capital through art. He has a Master’s degree in Architecture from University of Pennsylvania and Certificate of Real Estate Design and Development from The Wharton School. He taught and served as design critic of graduate architecture design studios at the University of Pennsylvania and Pratt School of Design.
