During my Bachelor's Degree at Cardiff Univerity, I worked on a housing retrofit, music hall, creative artist cabin, art gallery and urban beehive. My final graduation proposal was The Cathedral of Movement- the multipurpose sports and movement centre for the busy banking district of the City of London. The project involved the regeneration of an abandoned office structure, responding to the flooding needs of the site and the needs of busy workers and kids from the school adjacent to the site. During that project, I carried out an analysis of the rhythmicity of our urban space and the way the urban fabric influences the pace of our everyday life (inspired by Rhythanalisis by Henri Lefebre). I believe that through my degree I have learned how to create a design that is responsive to its natural, historical and social surroundings, investigating new ways of being critical of what our cities have to offer and how architecture projects can complement or challenge it.
