About
Angad Warang is an Architect specializing in Computational Design and Digital Fabrication, based in Barcelona. His work seamlessly integrates teaching, research, and practice, spanning multiple design scales. After earning his Bachelor of Architecture from VNIT, Nagpur, India (2012), Angad gained extensive experience working with renowned firms in Bengaluru (mayaPRAXIS) and Mumbai (I M Kadri Architects, SSA Architects, and Broadway Malyan) over five years. In 2018, he joined the Institute for Biodigital Architecture and Genetics, ESARQ, UIC Barcelona, where he completed his Master’s (2017) and PhD (cum laude, 2021) in Architecture. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor and research assistant, focusing on the fusion of digital technologies with architectural design practice. Angad's teaching, research, and practice are focused on modelling, analysing, and fabricating complex organic forms while challenging the mainstream, rectilinear, functionalist approach towards design. His design pursues holistic, procedural and undeniably beautiful forms, enclosures, and structures. His work seeks to redefine the boundaries of architecture by embracing the intricacies of nature and the potential of computational methods.
