Faramarz Parsi

Faramarz Parsi obtained his “MA in Architecture and Urban Planning” from Iran University of Science & Technology in 1992. After Cooperation with ARSEH and BAVAND consulting engineers in remarkable projects like Restoration of the historical building of “National Consultative Assembly of Iran”, He continued his career as the CEO of EMARAT KHORHID consulting engineers and since 1999, several important and successful Design, Documentation, Restoration, Revitalization, Repair and Rehabilitation projects have been done, under his supervision and management in his office, in architectural, urban and rural domains. One of the most prestigious projects that has been planned, advanced and executed under his supervision is “Collaborative Restoration and Revitalization of Esfahak Historic Village” near Tabas, a city in South Khorasan Province in Iran, which gained a huge success at national and international levels. It won the Special Jury Appreciation Award of Memar in the category of “Reconstruction”. It was also the Third Place Winner of “2A Asia Architecture Award 2017” in the category of Urban, Rural Projects, Landscape & Public spaces. This project has recently won “To Do 2020 Award of Germany”, as well. Faramarz Parsi has also published various articles and research reports in the Iranian journals and he was a member of Editorial Board in “Memar” magazine for 5 years (2006-2011). He is a well-known figure and consultant in the fields of traditional Iranian architecture, as well as restoration of historical buildings and sites and has held a lot of professional workshops regarding “The Language of Historical architecture in Iran”. He has also been teaching as a visiting professor at University of Tehran, Iran University of Science & Technology, Islamic Azad University, Tabriz Branch and Tehran Azad university central branch, in Iran.
