About
Jorge Arvizu co-founder of Estudio MMX. He is a consultant to various private institutions in Mexico and participates as a guest critic and lecturer in various academic institutions. For a decade and together with Ignacio del Rio, Emmanuel Ramírez and Diego Ricalde, directs Estudio MMX; an urban and architectural design studio based in Mexico City. Jorge is an architect and urban planner from IBERO University and a Master in Civil Engineering and Construction Management from the IBERO University. He has worked in renowned architecture studios, among which TEN Arquitectos, and the Alberto Kalach Architecture Workshop stand out, as well as a collaboration with Architect Oscar Haggerman in the construction of shelters and schools in marginalized rural areas. He was a professor of projects and construction at IBERO and has been invited by various institutions to offer lectures on topics related to this experience, as well as work and projects of Estudio MMX. Jorge’s real estate developments have been successful on his scale and in conjunction with Estudio MMX, he has received international awards such as the “Architectural League Prize for Young Architects”, the “Architectural Record” Design Vanguard Award “and the National Cemex Award and International, among some other prizes for public and private competitions.
