About
With her own architectural practice since 2010, based at the Pedro Nunes Institute, Luisa Bebiano develops projects related to various arts such as theater, dance, cinema (art direction), design and manufacture of objects. This thematic universe is also her basis of research for the doctoral thesis of the Course of Contemporary Arts of the University of Coimbra. Graduated in Architecture by Darq - FCTUC (2006 - Quarter Master General W. Elsden Scholar Prize), with an exchange year in the Polytechnic of Torino (Italy). Collaborated in the Old Ceramic Society of Coimbra from 2003 to 2010 on monitoring the production of handmade ceramics and business management. She has been distinguished in several competitions, namely: Mies Van Der Rohe Prize (nominated in 2015), Wood Architecture National Prize (finalist in 2017), Urban Rehabilitation National Prize (2017) and Premis Fad Architecture and Interiors (selected in the years 2013, 2015 and 2018), Nuno Teotónio Pereira Prize (2019), Diogo Castilho Prize (2019) and Gulbenkian "Vilalva Prize" (2019).
