Niels Marius Askim, born 10.07.1964 in Trondheim , Norway, is educated at the Oslo School of Architecture in 1991 and has been working in Askim/ Lantto architects since 1998. The firm covers a wide range of skills within the field of design and architecture. The office background of experience includes the design of urban spaces and landscapes, museums and cultural centers, housing, furniture, and exhibition design. Askim/Lantto Architects treats each design task with a unique and individual approach, based on conceptual thinking. As architects, we try and develop the projects with integrity, related to the specific project brief and framework, the site and contextual character. The general starting point is based on functionality, spatial and material awareness as the main design tools and guidelines. The majority of the project in the office has established by taking part in and winning design competitions.
