Prachi Metawala

I am an architect based in Mumbai, India.I have volunteered on rural school projects with the ‘Hunnarshala foundation’ based in Bhuj, India which has been involved in Post Disaster Reconstruction projects in India and Nepal. My 2017 graduation thesis project, ‘ Commune Ark: A disaster Resilient, Self Reliant Commune for Flood affected displaced’ in Assam, India fetched me the 3rd prize in the Tamayouz International graduation Projects Category. My entry 'NODe' with fellow architect Amit Modi, to integrate refugees in Nairobi, won an honorable mention in the 'Place & Displacement' competition in 2018. Keen to work on socially impactful projects, I am currently pitching my thesis project to the Assam State Government to get it realized as a pilot project, under my start-up practice ' Place_displaced'.
