About

Dr. Rabah Saoud studied in the universities of Liverpool and Manchester (UK). Since 1999, he expanded his scope of research into the history of Muslim Architecture and Civilisation and their influence. He is renowned for his co-publication of the best seller; Muslim Heritage in Our world, 1001 inventions (2006). In 2017, he published his second book: Architectural Encounters: Islam and the West. He has also published more than 50 articles in the same subject in the leading historical E-journal of Muslimheritage.com. In 2005 he worked as a senior consultant for MTE Studios to bring to light the historical significance of Dubai Ibn Battuta Shopping Mall. Dr. Saoud joined the University of Ajman in August 2008 where he holds the position of Assistant Professor.

Before designing my project i searched about the life in 2050 , which will need a lot of energy and electricity due the use of technology and the existence of robots.. The floating hybrid towers, where a new kind of philosophy is formulated to build up two different towers, with shared experiences to produce a complete, active vertical city that is floating in the sky.

The tower is 29 floors , 3 floors commercial , 1 floor transition , 15 floors offices , 1 floor transition and 9 floors residential. The skin of the tower has columns which are the structure for the tower and they pull the skin to the tower.

The idea derived from the formation of a tornado that is usually attached to the base of a thunderstorm. The main idea here is totally opposite to tornado's main goal which is destruction and replacing it with bringing all features within same twist under massive air speed.
