About
Born in Tehran, I was raised in an educated family. As a child, I remember my father drawing plans and making architectural models. I loved wandering among his sheets and fanaticizing about the stories of those buildings. Being raised in such an atmosphere inspired me to pursue my dreams of becoming an architect. I chose architecture as my academic field and started to study architecture at University of Tehran, the most prestigious university in Iran. After gaining experience in different architectural firms, I decided to continue my own dreams. Shortly after my graduation, I started teaching .For almost eight years, I taught in 3 universities in Tehran. However, after a while, I felt that I have to experience working in the building industry so I left the university and decided to continue my career as an architect. When I was teaching in Sooreh University of Tehran, I met one of my gifted students, Mojtaba Zaheri. We started our architecture office, Modaam Architects, in 2008. Gradually, we expanded our work. Besides gaining experience in architecture, we also started to explore the theoretical aspects of architecture. Since establishing Modaam Architects, I have designed numerous projects as chief architect; some of which have been acclaimed internationally in magazines and have won national and international awards. Some of our most notable projects are Iran Medicinal Herbs Garden Museum, Cinnagen Factory, Near Villa, Amirchocolate Café, and In Search of Lost Yards.
