Scott Ibbotson

Scott brings over 35 years of wide-ranging experience to his role juror. Having begun his career in landscape construction, horticulture, arboriculture and environmental repair, Scott expanded his knowledge into the associated disciplines of Landscape Architecture and Urban Design and as such provides a unique and blended knowledge and skill across project design and implementation. Scott has worked both in the public and private sector on a diverse array of project both locally and abroad, including; large-scale master planning, infrastructure, public realm, ecological restoration, waterfronts, parks, city towers, and residential. Marquee projects include; Sydney University Camperdown public domain, Sydney Park Water Re-Use Project, Central Park / One Central Park and Spice Alley, Hyde Park (Sydney) upgrades, and Taronga Zoo Wildlife Retreat. In addition to Scott’s commitment to ongoing education and professional development, he has served as guest lecturer to both the University of Sydney and the University of NSW. Scott is currently leading the landscape, public domain and exhibit design for a new wildlife hospital within Taronga Zoo.
