Sofie Eggemont

Sofie Eggermont (1974) is a passionate architect and has been working at Abscis Architecten since 2006. She was a project architect for various assignments and competitions such as offices, residential projects, universities and colleges. Mostly projects where creativity was a challenge, but always without losing sight of the technical basis, such as the AZ St Lucas parking building in Ghent Belgium. After 12 years of experience within the office and helping to build the Abscis Architecten portfolio, she was ready to take the next step, combining daily management with project follow-up. Making strategic choices, making investment decisions and putting together a coherent team are all part of this. Parallel supervision of research and design phases, making decisions regarding the proposed projects and monitoring the vision and mission are essential in this. This combination maintains an intense feeling between office management and architectural practice.
