Stefan Jauslin

Swiss Born Stefan Jauslin graduated from ETH Zurich in 1992. He then formed his own practice as architect and set designer while teaching “Capturing and Representing Space by means of Video” with Rudlof Manz at ETH Zurich from 1992 to 1993. From 1994 to 1997 he was teaching architecture and urbanism with Marc Angélil at ETH Zurich. 2003-2004 he was visiting lecturer at the Bern University of Applied Sciences. From 2004-2014 has been member of the editorial board of the renowned swiss journal “archithese”. In 1996 Mateja Vehovar and Stefan Jauslin established their studio Vehovar & Jauslin in Zurich. They have been working on a wide range of assignments in Switzerland and abroad in the fields of architecture, urbanism, landscape architecture, scenography, and urban lighting schemes since. Their projects have often attracted international attention beyond the professional world. Among their best-known projects are the Swiss National Exhibition Expo.02 “Arteplage Yverdon-les-Bains”, the “Sihlcity Church”, the “space for contemplation” in Boldern, the square “Urteilsplatz” in Lahr, or the multi-award-winning bus terminal in Aarau, realizing the world's largest air-supported structure consisting of a single chamber. Their work received several awards around the world. For their cooperative interdisciplinary approach, which was innovative at the time, they were awarded the Swiss Art Prize from the Swiss Confederation back in 1999.
