1/
The conservatory will create an identity of the arts and will be a portal between old and new on an everyday level.
2/
Known as a combination of typical East German-style buildings and an old settlement with preserved buildings from the Prussian era, the area for the building is located in East Berlin - in Marzahn - Hellersdorf. The conservatory will act as a balanced environment between art and the busy city.
3/
The building can be divided into several main sectors - public, educational, cultural and office sector.
4/
Green rood, wooden rotating panels and wood pyramidal construction are the most interesting facade elements.
5/
The construction of the building is reinforced concrete, the roofs are flat, the drainage is internal, and one of the roofs is green - with natural plants.
6/
The interior design of the developed areas follows the principles used in the exterior. It is very important to note the relationship between outside and inside, and how elements of the exterior are used in the interior. This creates a sense of unity.
7/
The main areas - reception, recreation, cafe - library and exhibition, are located so as to be close to external visitors and students. The idea of more common areas leads to the gathering of more people and the exchange of information, as well as free access for all to these areas of the building.
8/
The parametric design is present throughout the lobby and the exhibition area - in the seating furniture, bar and receptions. Interesting wooden round elements are inserted in the ceiling and floors, as well as in the lighting.
9/
The concert hall - the floor at the stage is natural parquet - because wood is one of the best acoustic materials. Wood is also used in the decorative ceiling with slats, forming a suitable shape of the ceiling for good acoustics in the hall. The walls also have acoustic dark-colored panels that have a pyramidal shape - another connect with the facedes.
