Atomique Housing (Minimal X Parametric X Brutalism X Dystopia)
The basic concept for the design and layout of this housing project is inspired by the branching structure of the nuclei of atoms. Specifically, the modular units that make up the housing structure are designed to mimic the branches of an atom’s nucleus, while the cores and open spaces within the structure are meant to represent the nucleus itself. In addition to drawing inspiration from the Nakagin Capsule Tower, the team also took a modular approach to the design of the housing project. To create the modular units and structural frame for this housing project, advanced computer-aided design tools were utilized. These tools allowed for a high degree of precision and control in the design process, allowing the team to carefully consider the shape, size, orientation, and placement of each unit within the overall structure.
