Atomique

The basic concept for the design and layout of this housing project is inspired by the branching structure of the nuclei of atoms. Specifically, the modular units that make up the housing structure are designed to mimic the branches of an atom’s nucleus, while the cores and open spaces within the structure are meant to represent the nucleus itself.

THE SWARM

Earth after the apocalypse becomes a planet with critical conditions. People wanting to live on Earth again must first find a way to survive in a hostile environment. The proposal for safe living on Earth is a project of a self-sufficient housing unit with its own ecosystem.

Convalescence

The world has been flooded, wiping out most of the earth's population. The water levels rise and lower at drastic rates making the land inhabitable. Safety was found in the city of Manhattan on the upper levels of the tallest skyscrapers. With the use of bridges and space technology, it is up to the surviving community to commence a new era.

Deus ex machina

Deus ex machina means that is a plotting device that solves problems that are unlikely to be solved in a story suddenly when something unexpected or impossible happens. As global warming progresses in Iceland, the sea level has fallen rather than rising, revealing the surface area of Iceland.

URGENCYCLE

The temporary life between the moment of disaster and reconstruction is perhaps the moment when people need help the most and feel desperate. This temporary process, in which it is not known how long it will last, is very uncomfortable and insufficient for people. In this process, when life freezes, most people become unable to even meet their basic needs.

AMPHI-BAYS

Inspired by mother nature and human inventions, Amphi-Bays is a project with an eye on the future, to help our community prepare proactively from any setbacks that may be thrown upon us. Rather than reinventing the wheel, we adopted existing solutions in the manmade world and combined them with amphibian characteristics seen in our natural eco system.

Armadicar

To overcome the unpredictable disasters occurring on this planet, Armadicar – a mobile habitat inspired by Armadillo – provides an adaptive dwelling in a minimum space. With costumizable interior elements, openings and boundaries, Armadicar accommodates four-member family activities during days and nights, on land and water surface in sustainable way.

The Exodus

Inspired by the human nature to move, and explore; our proposal addresses stability in instability. Whether people aspire for an opportunity, to move or to reconcile with natural world, or people are forcibly moved due to a natural or a manmade disaster. Our proposal is adaptable to a variety of conditions, based on the location chosen by the users.
