REMINSCENCE OF THE PAST THAR DESERT VERNACULAR
The Project is a reminiscence of archaic intel of the Desert Past where water is a sanctified element. The premise of the project is an analogical exploration into the tectonics of the Desert and how it transpires from the people who inhabit such harsh yet beautiful and serene terrain.
THE MESH
A place for discovery, experimentation and sharing It is here, facing one of the symbols of modern architecture, the MAC Niteroi by Oscar Niemeyer, that the Athenaeum emerges, as a ground movement in the seabed. The mesh appears in the bay as an artificial topography in the landscape, inspired by the mountains surrounding the city of Rio de Janeiro
Platform Park (Huddle)
The platform is a park designed for people of advanced age, where the impact of the usual to the natural is minimal. The intention of the park is to generate a space where users can travel, contemplate and meet. The continuity of a level from the highest point of the lot is considered, in order to generate a continuous step without irregularities.
Re-connecting Salford
The driving aim of this project is to bring communities back together. This area of Salford, once a vibrant, thriving community, now seems to be suffering due to the alienation of its citizens. My proposal attempts to become the centre of the community by using striking architecture and amenities that bring residents closer.
John Sasser Architecture Portfolio
This portfolio showcases a selection of academic projects completed throughout my first three years at Mississippi State University's School of Architecture. To help linking the elderly to the rest of the society, this senior activity center adapts an unique form that contains multiple gentle slopes that meandering through the woods and allows elderly to easily walk on. These slopes also create edges that is suitable for dynamic activities and attracts younger generation to interact with seniors on site.

THE SUBTRACTED HORIZON
The Subtracted Horizon is an underground pavilion in the Swiss Alps that powerfully symbolizes the loss of peace and freedom caused by war. Hidden beneath a pristine alpine meadow, the pavilion is rendered almost invisible from the surface. As visitors descend into a stark, raw trench carved into the earth, they leave behind the open and endless alpine horizon. The architecture uses pure subtraction, removing the landscape to create a profound spatial experience
