This chapel has a central access where by means of a double ramp it reaches the underground spaces which the private is managed by these extruded floor beams reaching a space open to the sky for meditation.

1NEW CHAPEL OF WHITBY ABBEYThe new chapel on the grounds of Whitby abbey is a site built on religious and cultural references. The main thing is the chapel, spiritual foundation of the projected complex. The main symbol of Cristian architecture and Whitby abbey in particular are embedded in this part.
23Serpentine TempleThe subtle journey evokes us to a spiritual process, human life has been projected in understanding and connecting the tangible with something ephemeral and subtle. Every belief or religion leads on that journey of spiritual growth. We believe that architecture allows us to carry out this process physically.
19Under the transparencyUnder the transparency is a chapel where spirituality is found through the exploration of different spaces and spatial atmospheres, with light and transparency being the most relevant axis of the project. our main idea is that the space has public or private meeting places, characterized by natural elements such as the sun, and by material elements.
