After working in several international architecture offices, he decided to found Singular Studio with the clear goal of offering its clients alternatives of excellence in architecture, landscaping, interior design and urbanism. Vocational architect, he directs the studio with the same illusion as a child with new shoes, facing each project as if it was the first one. Qualified Architect by the International University of Catalonia, he is also a Master in Collective Housing, Master in Landscaping Architecture, Master in Environment, and Bioclimatic Architecture and holds the Diploma of Advanced Studies (DCTA) of the Polytechnic University of Madrid. At the ceremony held in Mexico City in 2017, he won the Cemex Building Award, as the international winner in the residential category. He has participated in workshops in Los Angeles, México, Sao Paolo, or La Havana, has been a researcher in the Fundación Rafael Escola, lecturer in CIAB or member of the Think Tank “The future of Construction”. With projects of different nature and scale, Singular Studio has built-in countries like Spain, Italy, Holland France or USA, ranging from master planning, public libraries, socio-cultural centres, collective or detached housing buildings and lately, one of the funniest they are designing, a municipal animal shelter. His architecture and research projects have been published in specialized magazines like Casa Viva, Class & Villas, Cemento-Hormigón and SB.

At Rolf Ockert. Architect. we continuously aim to find individual and optimised solutions for any design task we can get our hands and minds on. Having lived and worked in Europe, Asia and Australia, and having traveled the world extensively, Rolf draws on a wide range of visual, practical and design experience. For us it is still fascinating how different architectural solutions for the same task can be. The solutions then are a reflection of the designers experience, taste, preference, etc. We call it the mosaic of life, every little bit of input forming a vital part of the whole piece. Rolf Ockert. Architect., commenced in 2004, has in a relatively short period of time created a rich portfolio of work, ranging from high end residential design to commercial and retail projects, product and furniture design, masterplanning and much more. Projects to date have been located throughout Australia as well as overseas, most recently in New Zealand, Japan, the US and Switzerland. Many projects have been published in books and magazines all over the world. Rolf has spent extended periods of time extending his practical experience in renowned architectural practices in Germany, England and Japan, amongst them Frei Otto, Michael Hopkins and James Stirling as well as Riken Yamamoto in Japan.

ROJO / FERNÁNDEZ-SHAW arquitectos is an architecture firm based in Madrid, Spain, founded in partnership by the architects María Begoña Fernández-Shaw Zulueta and Luis Rojo de Castro in 1994. Begoña Fernández-Shaw obtained a degree in architecture from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid en 1987 and a Master in Architecture from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. In 2001 she was appointed Adjunct Secretary to EUROPAN/Spain The firm has oriented its practice to the design and construction of public works, architectural competitions and academic research. They have been awarded in several architecture competitions, like the Auditorium in Guadalajara, the Centre for the Arts in Alicante, the Industrial Research Laboratories in Arnedo, a Sports Centre in Alcazar de San Juan, or a Public Housing Project in Ciudad Real. Their work has been published in a number of professional journals, among which stand Revista Arquitectura, AV, On Design, Tectónica, Detail, L'Industria de la Construzione, Space, Summa, On Arquitectura and others, and it has also been selected for the Spanish Architecture Bienale, the Biennale di Venezia and the FAD prize

Luis Rojo obtained a degree on architecture from the ETSAM, where has been teaching architecture design since 1992. He further obtained a Masters degree at the GSD, Harvard University and a Ph_D in Architecture from the UPM. He is currently Ph D Assistant Professor at the Department of Architecture, teaching design studios at the undergraduate and graduate programs. He’s been Visiting Critic of Architecture at the GSD on regular basis between 1994 and 1998, and again in 2001, 2006 and 2011. In 2016 was appointed Visiting Professor of Architecture at the City College of New York, in 2018 Visiting Professor at the Masters Program in Architecture at the UNAV and in 2019 Visiting Professor in Architecture at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou. Rojo has lecture at the Harvard School of Design, the Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya, the School of Architecture at the University of Illinois Chicago, the Leibniz Universität Hannover School of Architecture, the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne (EPFL), the BAS School of Architecture at the City College of New York, The Cooper Union (NY), Postdam University in Berlin or the School of Architecture and Urban Development at the University of Tongjí.
