PREMISE

Today, we exist in a world that carries the best of both worlds. We can observe fast technological transition and urbanisation. Changing trends and developments in construction, technologies and ways of living it has changed our world completely.

Major differences and observations of divisions are in between man and nature. The widening of this gap hasn't just increased environmental issues but has also been a major cause of various humanitarian problems that we encounter frequently now.

Stark realities and issues are highlighted with time. Environmental degradation and lack of human-nature connection have been an old problem that has led to severe consequences in our present.

Questioning not just how we look at the issues present around us but also questions as to where we are going from here, what will the future of architecture look like?

FUTURE IN PERSPECTIVE

In spite of the dystopian reality or the prevalent issues in terms of environment and effects architecture is having on them; there is still a utopia, an ideal image of the future that each one of us carries.

Utopia in terms of an environmentally sound and symbiotic design is needed, where we are not only focused on a human-centric perspective; but where we are also promoting a green and sustainable world.

Today's environmental issues need to be addressed with increased awareness and sensitivity towards our actions and how they're affecting our neighbourhoods. Symbiotic architectural methods to context-sensitive design, methods are being undertaken to ensure a safe future. Being designers and visionary we are the major contributors in creating an image of a utopia that is environmentally driven and led.

H3: How can architecture be a key driving force in this change and evolution towards the future? Considering current environmental degradation, what would an environmentally sensitive future look like?

BRIEF OF THE COMPETITION

How will the buildings be?

What and how do you perceive the world to look like in the future where nature and natural resources are a priority?

If you were given a chance to imagine a utopia, of an environmentally friendly society, what would it look like?

This challenge aims to question the perception and vision that we hold towards tomorrow. A vision that is not withheld by limits but is led by opportunities to imagine a space where nature is a priority of all designs.

Brief: The architecture competition brief calls for a design to visualize a utopian future society that is environmentally conscious.

The aim is to challenge the limits of perception and imagination towards a green future. Use any mediums, video, images, drawings, sketches, models, paintings - and communicate your design.

OBJECTIVES
