PREMISE
Floating cities are figments of our imaginations in the forms of story-telling. Moreover, the rapid deterioration of natural resources and man-made disasters on the earth we reside in, have made us search for more options outside/in-earth to live in.
Floating cities are evolving theories, though in recent years a lot has changed and fictional theories are turning into discussions on how they can be manifested. As glaciers melt and sea levels rise and coastal cities are looking for ways to cope with the growing threat of flooding and land subsidence. Many concepts with different degrees of realism have come from architects, engineers, authors and world leaders.
Write on how architecture will play a role in building a floating city. Research the internet, use interviews, books or your imagination to build your research and answer the questions below in an essay of about 1000-1500 words and 3 images or less.
