CARLOS CHACÓN PÉREZ

Carlos Chacon is founder member of DVCH DeVillarCHacon Architects. DVCH was established in Madrid in 2OO8 and is currently present in Madrid, Mexico City and Taichung. The office work is focused on providing architectural solutions able to stablish a dialogue between citizens and their environment that we understand as a balance between the natural, the social and the urban condition. DVCH projects range every scale, from landscaping and public buildings, to housing, installations, exhibitions or interior design and has been awarded in international competitions, highlighting the Congress Center “Vegas Altas” in Villanueva de la Serena, completed in 2O14, the Music and Dance School in Ciutadella, Menorca, the Kinder Park in Mexicali, Baja California or the Experimental prototype house in Apan, Mexico. Carlos Chacon is also teaching currently Associate professor at FCU Feng Chia University, Taiwan and from 2020 he became Director of the international undergraduate program with 60 ECTS Credits "Explorers EuroLAB" (https://www.fcu-eurolab.com/) for Feng Chia University.

José de Villar Martínez (Madrid, 1976) is a Master Architect from Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid) since 2003, and PHD candidate with a “Diploma de Estudios Avanzados” D.E.A. (PG Dip Doctoral Studies ETSAM-UPM) since 2010. He became assistant professor in Anahuac University in México since 2019 and Tecnológico de Monterrey University since 2018. He is Co-Founder of DeVillarCHacon Architects (www.devillarchacon.com) since 2008. He has been awarded in national and international competitions, highlighting the Transient Accommodations Building For Young People in Parla (Madrid), the 168-unit Housing Complex “Aguas Vivas” in Guadalajara, the Congress Center “Vegas Altas” in Villanueva de la Serena, the Music and Dance School in Ciutadella, Menorca, the Lineal Park “Lomas de Sotelo” in Mexico City, the Kinder Park in Mexicali, Baja California, and the housing prototype in Apan, Mexico. He has won several national and international prestigious awards, including several times the COAM completed project award , recently the Best Urban Project COAM Award 2019 for Kinder Park in Mexicali.
CHRIS BOSSE
Director, LAVA, Australia
Chris Bosse is director of LAVA Asia Pacific based in Sydney, Australia. Chris Bosse is Adjunct Professor at the University of Technology, Sydney. Educated in Germany and Switzerland, he worked with several high-profile European architects before moving to Sydney. Whilst Associate Architect at PTW Architects in Sydney he completed many projects in Asia and the Middle East. His work on the Watercube Olympic swimming centre in Beijing received the Atmosphere Award at the 9th Venice Architecture Biennale and the AIA Jorn Utzon Award for International Architecture; he won an Emerging Architect Award from RIBA in 2008 London, a 40 Under 40 Award in 2012 and Australian Design Honour at the Australian Design Centre in Sydney in 2015. LAVA was the 2016 European Laureate.
