International Architecture and Design Awards
Overview
Design awards to showcase the best in architecture and design
The annual A-Z awards by UNI is a global architectural platform that recognizes design excellence. The laureates of these awards will get recognition, credibility and benefits through UNI’s extensive reward kit and international coverage.
The award programme aims to cover all basic frameworks in architecture and to generate a dialogue in existing and upcoming trends within them. UNI Design Awards seek to celebrate innovation in some of the most primary architectural typologies. The programme will highlight hidden gems from the past four years.

Our ability to form groups and in turn civilizations indicate our capacity to develop through interaction and collaboration. Throughout history, public typologies have developed according to changes in social norms and the context of that era. Built or unbuilt architecture have acted as nodes for assembling, gathering and engaging with the immediate neighbourhood/community.
While communities have expanded into cities around these spaces, public architecture also thrives on diversity of cultures, forms of recreation and the overall development of the city/country itself. Thus, helping in building urban centres which are not only resilient in public resources and community developments.
With extraordinary projects received on the 1st edition, we can’t wait to see what lies in store for the next. With the benchmarks set by the previous year, we expect projects to have the potential to evoke questions, ideas and debates about the present and future of the architectural community.
P for Public Architecture
Focusing on the most basic of frameworks (typologies) of built spaces, UNI introduces Architecture (A- Z) Awards.
‘P for Public Architecture’ aims to bring together global design talents that explore one of our most primary needs as a population.
Inviting entries of spaces that range from public parks, cinemas, pavilions to stadiums and recreational typologies to everything in between, this theme aims to recognize spaces that have evolved with the utmost understanding of its user groups, their function, its adaptability and its environmental responsibility.
Categories
Participants can enter in more than one sub-category but the entry has to be submitted separately.
