324People's Choice AwardThe FutureSeed refers to regeneration as the metaphor and the beginning of a cycle. It was aimed to take the seed out of the area where it was stored and protected and to meet with the citizen and to become a part of the city as a continuation of the cycle as an image. Collision points were considered for urban and seed interaction.
31Central Eco MarketThe bank is not only about storing seeds, it is more about spreading seeds. With the blessings of abundance of pigeons in the area, the seeds are preserved and life cycles carry on peacefully in mother nature. It is important there is interflow from generation to generation?to spread their experience, protecting valuable urban farming.
7Seed SiteThe project includes the whole cycle of plants, from seeds to fruits. Seed Bank is located in basement, on floors 0-4 we offer places for education on ecological topics and a place to collect food grown in a hydroponic farm. We also offer housing functions. The floral terrace calendar creates living, oxygen-producing facades.
101SEEK/DMega cities are known for dense construction and air pollution which is dangerous. Thus these areas are not suitable for agriculture, the ground is carried up to 20 meters, the main axle that separates is the carrier and circulation element feeds the structure. The spaces settle due to their functions and angle of sun. Axles are for transport and usability.
290PUBLIC EMPTY IN SEED BANKIn this design, it is aimed to provide space to the city in spite of the density and crowds of Hong Kong city. In order to emphasize the importance of globalization, global warming and pollution and to raise awareness about these issues, the structure has been designed completely publicly. 15Urban TrellisThe design consists of irregular structural grid of wooden modules that fulfill the concept of a vine trellis. Central part is open and serves as a multifunctional passage. The whole project is brimming with vegetation and significantly disperses the surrounding development, improving the air circulation.
