Polen is a design office located in Mexico City. Our work is focused on landscape design. Therefore, a multidisciplinary team of industrial designers, architects, landscapers, agronomists and gardeners intervene raising their concerns and knowledge in order to achieve comprehensive, conscious and harmonious projects, in which respect for the environment and welfare of the users is given so that green spaces can be enjoyed in a unique and personal way. Greening any space at any scale, whether it is a public space, a garden, a terrace, a balcony, an interior area or an object, entails all our effort. We are convinced that integrating the concept of design and the use of vegetation creates a link between man, space and nature. We can point out with satisfaction that each project is unique, we develop each proposal according to the needs of the client, the site, and maintenance in order to achieve success stories that transcend and allow the evolution of each green space to be seen. At the same time, we always take care that they are conscious projects in social, environmental, ecological and aesthetic aspects. The office was founded in 2010 in Mexico City by Alejandra de la Cerda and Ana Julia Carvajal. Both share their great passion for nature and design, and reflect and carry it out through the projects in Polen, seeking above all things to create projects that will last in order to raise awareness among the people regarding the plants and the world around us.

Obtained a Bachelors degree in Architecture from Tokai University in 2002, and a Master's degree in Architecture from Tokyo University of Arts in 2005. After working for'Kazuyo Sejima + Ryue Nishizawa / SANAA' from 2005 until 2015, founded Takashige Yamashita Office. Currently a part-time lecturer at Tokai University and Kyoto University of the Arts.

As a LEED AP, green building and landscape design professional specializing in the realization of eco-resorts, tented camps and high end residential villa developments; Louis has 10 years experience of designing, building and operating high-end, mixed use development projects in Asia with Six Senses resorts and spas. Louis has a BTS diploma in Hotel Management and Marketing and studied Hotel Design and Planning at Cornell-Nanyang Institute of Hospitality Management in Singapore.
