Wang Shuo

Wang Shuo is an architect, researcher and curator based in Beijing. He received his B. Arch. from Tsinghua University in Beijing and M. Arch. from Rice University. Wang Shuo has practiced extensively in New York, Rotterdam and Beijing in the field of architecture and urbanism research. He had worked for OMA on various large-scale projects including RAK Gateway City (2019 Cityscape and International Business Award), The Interlace (2015 WAF Award-World Building of the Year), and MahaNakhon in Bangkok (2018 the International Highrise Finalist Award). Wang Shuo founded META-Project in 2009 with his partners, the work of Wang Shuo is characterized by a research driven approach. One of his main interests of research has been the unprecedented intensifying urban dynamics in the transformation of contemporary metropolis in Asia as well as new forms of emergent urban/collective spaces, and under such context, the shift of “contemporary” way of life through the progressive practice of young generation in the city. His recent works as HeyTown Art Center, House T, Stage of Forest, New Youth Commune won numerous world's leading architectural design awards, including 2020 A&D awards, 2019 The Architecture MasterPrize, 2019 World Interior Architecture Award, 2018 International Architecture Award,2018 DFA Silver Award, 2018 A+Architizer Jury Award, 2016 WA Housing Award and so on.
Song Zhaoqing

SONG Zhaoqing received his architectural training at Tsinghua University. After graduation, he started his career in Nikken Sekkei where he cooperated with Benjamin Wood and led the Shanghai Xintiandi project throughout design to construction. In 2001, he founded Lacime Architects, a practice adheres to the belief "simplify complicated materials and back to the origin." SONG Zhaoqing's portfolio comprises highly pragmatic public infrastructure to well-crafted buildings and spaces. His representative projects include Shanghai Xintiandi, Qin Ⅱ Dynasty Relics Museum, Shanghai Zhongxing Meihua Village, Shanghai Cifi Headquarter, Suzhou Vanke Da Jia, Shanghai Liva Riverside Book Bar Reconstruction, etc. He got recognition from numerous world's leading architectural design awards, including World Architecture Festival,World Architecture News Awards, The Plan Awards, Dezeen Awards, AZ Awards, ICONIC Awards and so on. Apart from his role as an architect, SONG Zhaoqing actively participates in a variety of architecture-related activities, ranging from architectural education to leading awards’ assessment and publication,etc. SONG Zhaoqing also serves as a professor at Xi`an University of Architecture and Technology. In 2019, he was invited to be a judge of the A&D Trophy Awards. In 2020, he became a member of ICONIC Awards jury panel, as well as WAN Awards’.
Larry Wen
Founder, aoe, China
Larry Wen is the founder of aoe architects,. He is an architect whose international reputation is built on over thirty years of service to the industry. Larry studied at Cal Poly Pomona University and has since led several renowned global design companies, among them Aedas, Woods Bagot and Aecom. He has directed numerous well-known projects – including Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University Administrative Information Building, Guiyang Tianyi International Plaza and Qingdao Jinmao Central Europe International City – picking up a string of awards along the way. Many of his his works won prestigious international awards including A+ awards, German Design Awards, A’design awards, DFA awards etc.
