Andreas Ferstl Architects Redefine AlpenstadtMuseum Sonthofen with Innovative Design!
Can Andreas Ferstl Architects' Visionary Approach Transform AlpenstadtMuseum Sonthofen into a Cultural Marvel?

The new museum ensemble in Sonthofen's city centre is a small-scale development that carries on the history of the place. The two listed head buildings are unified with a calm backdrop, while the refurbished 70s house is merged with the new construction. The local typology of gabled houses built side-by-side is reinterpreted, creating a varied roofscape. The building's scale and materiality are tailored to its immediate surroundings, making it appear to have grown naturally in its environment.
