Experience the Majestic Elegance of Sisi's Palace During a Stunning Night Stay
Majestic Setting of the New Netflix Sensation "The Empress" at Weissenstein Castle on Airbnb"
The Weissenstein Castle, a prominent filming location for the popular Netflix series The Empress, is set to open for a magnificent stay experience. The magnificent palace is preparing to host guests in a luxurious suite that has undergone a royal transformation, transporting them to the late 19th century when Empress Elizabeth was in her prime.
The Weissenstein Palace in Pommersfelden, Bavaria boasts a rich history and is renowned as one of Germany's finest examples of Baroque architecture. This historic building is prominently featured in Netflix's The Empress, where it serves as the main royal residence of Sisi.
“Empress Elizabeth, fondly nicknamed Sisi, is an all-time favorite historical figure: a sportswoman, fashion icon, traveler, poet and tragic heroine who fell to an assassin’s blade. As she was born in Bavaria, it’s both exciting and fitting to bring this legendary woman home and share a little glimpse into her world.” (Host Countess Benedicta von Schönborn-Wiesentheid)
About the stay
Since its construction in the 18th century, Weissenstein Palace has been continuously inhabited by the House of Schönborn. Countess Benedicta von Schönborn-Wiesentheid, the host of the palace, will extend a warm welcome to guests and guide them through the grand entrance hallway to their luxurious suite. The suite has undergone a regal renovation, adopting the opulent style that would have been familiar to Empress Sisi.

The suite, situated in the west wing of the palace, is typically reserved only for the Schönborn family. During their visit, guests will have the opportunity to experience an exclusive tour of the palace, including areas that are off-limits to the public, such as the beautifully decorated "Shell Room". Here, guests will be treated to a dinner and breakfast inspired by Sisi.
In honour of what would have been Sisi's 185th birthday this year, aspiring rulers can reserve this exclusive experience for €185 starting November 2 at 7:00 PM CET on airbnb.com/theempress.
Two separate reservations are offered, on June 19 and June 20 2023, each accommodating up to two guests at most.
