Located on Záhrebská Street in an apartment building on the highest floors, the apartment features a remarkable transformation from a two-room maisonette with a studio to a spacious and functional home. Maximizing Potential Through Design

The renovation of Apartment Z sought to maximize the apartment's potential by incorporating a large terrace that offers sweeping views of the Carpathians. The layout was completely overhauled to create a sense of openness while maintaining privacy and comfort. The design approach embraces clean lines, neutral materials, and a balance of natural light, all contributing to a sophisticated, modern living space.

The Lower Floor: Private and Functional Spaces

The lower floor of Apartment Z is dedicated to the night zone, which includes a bedroom, a children's room, and a bathroom. A translucent copilite wall separates these areas, allowing light to filter into the entrance hall, creating an inviting and airy atmosphere. The design also ensures privacy while making the most of natural light, a key element in this modern apartment design.

The Upper Floor: Open Living Space

The upper floor of the apartment is an open living space that serves as the heart of the home. A central box inserted into the design divides the space into various functions, providing a dynamic flow to the layout. This box is multifunctional, acting as a bathroom and also serving as a mood-setting light fixture, enhancing the ambiance of the living area. The space is flooded with natural light, thanks to large windows that open up to the terrace, seamlessly blending the indoor and outdoor spaces.

Flexible and Functional Interior Design

Apartment Z embraces flexibility through mobile stairs, a long "kitchen unit," and a sofa positioned on different sides of the apartment. This flexibility allows the space to adapt to various needs, from hosting guests to providing a peaceful retreat. The interior design relies on visually solitary furniture that complements the clean lines and diverse layout of the space. Neutral materials such as birch plywood, exposed concrete gutters, and dovetail parquet oak contribute to the modern, minimalist aesthetic.

The apartment’s design is grounded in neutral materials, including stainless steel surfaces, white and black furniture, and distinctive touches like a blue staircase that adds an element of boldness to the otherwise serene space.
