Community areas and natural areas
The urban greenery where rivers and greenery are connected, bring vitality to the boring residential life. And I plan to introduce the water of the Matanzas River flowing through the naturally formed green belt around the base. In order to preserve and rearrange endangered native species of Argentine plants, four small rearing greenhouses have been set up in our new urban forest, cloaked in green and integrated into the surrounding environment. Moreover, along the small streams within the forest, a native path formed by a combination of native argentine species and plants was formed. Along the native path, we can see characteristic local plants along the way, waterside plants growing along the river, or a variety of beautiful and abundant native plants. Another core concept is to divide the bases on both sides into "more human-style community areas" and "more natural areas." Regarding the flow of water, it changes from an artificial wall waterfall to a final natural lake. The density of planting gradually changed from sparser to denser, forming two blocks of residents' back gardens and small jungles in the area, where people can feel different degrees of relaxation. It could be interacting with community friends in open spaces, vegetable gardens, visiting greenhouses and admiring the beauty of some plantations, or absorbing the essence of nature in the lush green forest and enjoying a relaxing time of coexistence with nature. I noticed that there were two soccer boxes on the original open space, so I also designed a small open space in the community area with a simple soccer box on it. Where the children in the community could continue their soccer games. And next to the football field. There is also a communication place for adults, a small vegetable garden that belongs to the community. Where the residents of the community can grow vegetables, take care of, and harvest together. And in the process, the residents of the community have many opportunities to communicate and chat with each other. The vegetable garden is close to the football field, where children can be seen playing. And the community area will become a gathering place for the leisure life of the surrounding residents. The biggest vision is to introduce the water of the Matanzas River into the residential area through the large-scale water planning on an urban scale, which will not only improve the beauty of the community. But also regulate the microclimate and allow residents to have hydrophilic space. The originally desolate vacant land formed a crack between urban areas, and the re-planned urban forest not only repaired the cracks in the city. But also turned these two small areas into gathering surrounding residents and seeking good places to hide in the forest.
