Apollo's Landing
This concept teaches and transports those who experience it to the moon and back. With a futuristic design inspired by our moon, this center will teach visitors their part in the space race and future missions. By placing them in roles and steps of the Apollo 11 team, this building will take all on a journey from Earth to the moon, and beyond!

The pedestrian view of the overhanging skeletal structure is exciting and invites use of the areas underneath for park-like activities. The skeletal structure when viewed from afar however runs the risk of making the building look like other skeletal buildings - unfinished. This might be a difficult aesthetic for city-planners to accept without a few alterations. There is certainly a lot of interior wide-open space available for use by a curator, but it does not appear that architects have given much thought as to how each space will be used. As presented, the interior is easy to imagine being used for a museum but sterile and difficult to see a strong harmony with youth engagement. This would absolutely be an iconic building but some thought should be given to how the 'lunar' image on the roof could be achieved. Print-based solutions are unlikely to weather well.
Use of the earth perspective, the crescent moon, is compelling. The crescent moon concept could be further developed as it only appears in one or two elements but has such strength.
