Sheet 1: Concept
The cover page includes the initial concept diagram of a canopy. The idea is that each home emulates a tree with several trunks represented by a core or mass of some kind. Homes in the neighborhood then come together to form a forest. Each home represents a trunk that supports the overall canopy of roof gardens that will be interconnected.
Sheet 2: Plans
The site plan exhibits the initial concept. The surrounding forest depicted in blue is extended via the architectural canopy. Each homes roof top garden will create a new community level in the city that is separate from the dusty streets below. This space will be semi public and only accessible to the neighbors whose roof top gardens are connected.
Sheet 3: Section Perspective
The section depicts the two trunks of the home, one the more solid core and then the other massing wall in the front. the whole house is elevated and supported by these two masses.
Sheet 4: Renders
These basic views create a more dynamic understanding of the spaces created.
