CITY link

This is the story of a CITY LINK with 2 sides of the story, the side of the sea and the side of the city, united by the community above (on top). The concept is based on uniting two shores with a public plaza that gives a panoramic view of the city and the sea, both indoor and outdoor.

It was a great challenge to design a functional bridge, because we had to find a balance between the engineering and architectural side of this program. We had to think before we came with a solution and take into consideration that the project should preserve its image and its stature of a bridge and not of a building.

This proposal is trying to creating an unique waterfront cycling and walking experience. The bottom part is designed to extreme water-enjoyable-space with floating landscape. A place where art persists for itself, dissolved in the dynamic public space of a foot-over bridge, it provides multiple opportunities to the public to engage with arts and artists and provokes thought to inspire the artist within. Thus, it is an attempt of proliferating arts by bridging the gap between arts, culture, and life.
