Classroom for Farmhouse School
This Learning Centre is located in the Thai border town of Mae Sot. In past years the number of migrants in Thailand has increased which resulted in more students visiting the school. These schools are not officially part of the Thai education system and there is little to no support for teacher salaries, infrastructure and building. Cost/Time 1700$ in 6week

Classroom after soil plastering
The classroom was constructed mainly from adobe bricks and recycled material found in the compound and purchased from local shops.
Under Construction
For the roof we used 2nd-hand metal sheets which we collected from various other projects.
The curved opening
The opening allows natural ventilation and emphasis a playful approach while designing with earthen material.

Local workers and international volunteers helped during the construction of the classroom.
Mud Bricks
Producing Adobe Bricks is always a fun exercise and involving the students creates a feeling of ownership while learning a new skill.

The essential ingredient of our buildings soil that can be found next to the construction site.
Timber Structure
The 2nd-hand timber was mainly purchased from nearby timber shops.
