The project use research as a technical aspect to work with diversity, open future, emotion, imagination and a complete document to establish a dynamic process to formulate concepts concerning to architecture and life. The work has no-references, as the same time that is full of them, because is a search to knowledge (not something given). It is an architectonical search mixed with architectural drawings (techniques to express thoughts).
Great drawing skills. Great amount of work. Interesting technical approach. Missing greenery in the proposal. I would ask the contestants a simple question: do youreally want our cities to look like this one? Would you be happy living in a city like the one you propose? is this the healthier proposal for our future?
It is a really good proposal, in a very speculative way. It is unrealistic, but full of analysis and detail, which is paradoxal and at the same time amazing. In terms of feasibility, what worries me is the darkening of the existing "eixample" blocks underneath these structures. On the other hand, the presentation is extremely dense and beautifully crafted. The drawings, and all the graphic languages used to explain the project, from diagrams to construction details, and the end with a little story through a cartoon... are really seductive.
