Drift

Using analog and digital methods, we were able to create a tunnel that follows the topography of the landscape. The design itself is an arch that changes continuously from one end to the other. The form of this structure is the result of an organic shape generated from one rib design. The focus was to create a beacon for the university community.

Kaleidoscope-Periscope

The Kaleidoscope-Periscope is an inhabitable viewfinder. People leave the world of the city only to encounter a distorted world mixed with fragments of their own images. The mirrored steel surfaces and the conical shell structure create a rigid kaleidoscope that produces patterns reflected from Biltmore Park’s tree canopy and the city skyline beyond.
