Eco Chapel
DRAWING INSPIRATION FROM THE CIRCULAR PLAN OF THE EXISTING FOREST CHAPELS AND INTEGRATING THE VERNACULAR FORM OF THE TRADITIONAL DORZE HUT TO CREATE A NEW CHAPEL TYPOLOGY WITH A LAYERED FUNCTIONALITY TO SERVE THE NEEDS OF THE SITE AND ITS USERS. THE OUTER SHELL IS COLLECTS AND DIRECTS WATER FOR COLLECTION AND DISTRIBUTION THROUGH OUT THE SITE.

I love the integration of the bee culture into the design, both the hive shape of the structure and the amenities to promote safe habitat for bees and the production of honey. The concept of a hive as the centre of local activity and industry also underlines a key feature of sustainability of communities, which will surely thrive in this building. Lastly, the reforestation of the area will surely be assisted by the work of the pollinators, and the reforestation will ensure the health of the bee colonies, so this architecture surely achieves a perfect symbiosis for this community. Well done.
I love this one. Well done
By far my favourite!!
The combination of respect for local traditions, the inclusion of bee colonies (during trying times across the globe for them), and the focus on water collection in an area where water can be scarce is outstanding. This is such a fantastic design.
