Living Together
The project proposes a possibility about how three generations live together in one house, keep their own lifestyles and not interrupt each other. The project is located at an ancient village in southern China, which is firstly built in 1621. Moreover, using materials all from the village, the house melts into the context as if it is there all the time.

Sheet 1
The first page introduces the site background including informations about location, culture, climate an architecture styles. Then I show my strategy towards how three generations live in one house, keep their own lifestyles and not interrupt each other. Moreover, I describ the chosen family members in short and each one has a theme color to be recognized.
Sheet 2
The second page shows details about the house through floor plans and renderings. Each room included the color and furniture is seperately designed for each family member according to their unique lifestyles. The elderly live in the lower floor for convenience. Public space for gathering is scattered in each floor, mainly in ground floor and rooftop.
Sheet 3
The third page introduces about the materials, lights and ventilation through sections. Three floors apply materials from different decades which responds to the age of the family members who live on the exact floor. By means of stepping back and transparency, the house achieves enough sunlights and cozy ventilation system.
Sheet 4
The fourth sheet is about interiors. Every room is individually designed for each family member according to their preferred lifestyles. In the house, family members can keep their own life without being interrupted meanwhile stay near their family. The images show how family members see each other through courtyards, windows, openings and hollowed out wall.
