"MOTION THEORY" is a Concept Art, Urban Planning, Urban Design, Concept Architecture project showcased on uni.xyz.

"In-between" is one of the most difficult, ambiguous and largely unexplored part of the city. We can change condition, meaning of the place and our own emotions when we're in-between space. And then on our traveling begin. But what qualities could it be? It is very different. The bridge could be even more than public space.

Bubble Link

Unlike conventional bridges, the proposed bridge is composed of bubbles that enable organic movement when open for boats. The organic and metabolic nature of bubbles allows the bridge to grow in the future into a more vibrant public space. As a symbol on the river, the bubbles link all people and celebrate the natural landscape of Copenhagen.

This design is trying to strengthen the relationship between people, bicycles and the context. The cycling and pedestrian flow lines are intertwined. This dynamic connection will make people, bicycles and contexts have different positional relationships, thereby achieving a rich three-dimensional circulation system and spatial experience.

THE BRIDGE WITHIN THE BRIDGE

This project intends to give a different experience for the different users, yet bring them together. There are two different ways to cross the bridge. For the people that want to cross the water can cut through fast, the people that wanna discover the city and cycling will enjoy the public spaces.

Open space with flora of Denmark valleys, unsubstantial construction of bike way held by trusses and solid as if carved in cave pillars with spread capitals — all this generate contrasts which are basically needed structure to become a landmark to the city.
