Whimsical concept idea and intention - disappointing design outcome with little whimsy/creativity. All necessary drawings are there - yet the overall story is not coherent.
An Opera House is NOT a Concert Hall!
@harry chen what the fuck is wrong with you
@Hamish Law Harry is right. A concert house typology is very different from an opera house. First of all, there are acoustical differences and the seating configurations are radically different. An Opera House has a clear delineation between stage and audience, and requires a lot of moving elements below the stage and above in the fly tower. A concert hall does not require those. I am surprised by your tone towards the comment, even though it is a valid criticism. The designers of this project show a lack of knowledge to distinguish the two typologies and it shows how little they know about the architecture.
