Paradigm Prison

The concept of this design is ?A prison as a game?. In each cell 8 inmates are put into a condition in which they can understand life as it used to be before the technology took over. They get to experience the hardships of life as well as looking at it from different perspectives. Each cell participates in game-based competitions and they need to succeed.

Different from normal violent crimes, some criminals are using their minds instead of muscles or skills to get illegal intersts. Future prisons have to handle those guys in some creative ways. By uniting prisoners with groups, it is practically possible to have them make contributions to the society wtih their intelligence.

The prison facilities of the future which focus on cyber criminality require a new way of thinking and a new strategy for design. Revisiting the typology of the traditional house becomes a way to reimagine the typology of the untraditional prison. Our project aims to push the boundary for justice architecture and proposes and prison that is truly healing.
