RETHINKING WALLS
Rethinking walls concept is a view on how to reconsider elements of an area that became it's character for the bad reasons. It is a demonstration on how to look at something with a new set of eyes. It proves that a wall doesn't need to be a barreir if used the proper way.

- The idea of re meaning the wall by giving it another symbolic connotation seems interesting to me; however, it loses strength when it is not treated from the edge, that currently generates separation. On the other hand, in contrast, the idea of accessing from these side gateways is a double-edged sword. These take the risk of being closed by any of the populations involved, preventing the desired integration. That is, the entrance would no longer be freely accessible, but would be conditioned by unilateral decisions, such as, for example, the school that is located on one side of the field. - In addition, one of the proposed lateral entrances responds to accesses for the population of Casuarinas, and on the other side, it is in close relationship with the school; therefore, there is an inaccuracy in the approach. - An interesting work is read of ramps and widens that adjust to the topography and the slope in a natural way. In addition, there is a correlation with the way in which the populations have settled on the hills, with an organic and versatile layout in their plots, with compactness in their spaces and intersecting streets as an unforeseen route. It would have been interesting if these ramps had permeable lateral edges to strengthen the layout and allow access with greater freedom in order to generate greater dynamism in its use. - It would be interesting to reinforce the design of the extensions, assuming their characterization according to uses, the need for shade, etc. It is necessary to reinforce the activities along the route. - The bridge lacks strength as a referential milestone in the proposal. In addition, it would have been interesting for it to be integrated into the proposal from both sides, with the ramps and the routes.
