Soundwave

Like waves crashing on shore, Soundwave is a project that connects the sea to the land, both in it's design and in it's additional function as a public space. As such it acts not only as a cultural center, but also gathering point for tourists and the people of Tallinn. With its extravagant shape Soundwave aim to become the symbol for Tallinn.

THE TOWER

Tallinn is the perfect city to challenge the perception of the opera house as a sheltered and private venue and redefine it as a public art form. Public spaces are incorporated into the building to create a flexible community space within an opera house. Inspired by the imagery and iconography of a lighthouse, it is a beacon for the city.

The whole complex of the Opera House is filled with social functions such as museum, theatre, cafe and digital exhibition hall. Following the axles, newly created island works as a public space for the whole area. The bridges that circulate around the complex and the island create an integrated social form.
