The Black Taj in our design has been envisioned as the twin, the younger sibling that was never born and will never be. Drawing parallels with the tumultuous political scenario of that time the - Master plan - (the idea of the two Mahals) construed as - the twins mother - also met its sad demise.

It actually got an equal intensity of emotion as the Taj but from the other end of the spectrum. If Taj stood for love and its purity, Azal stood for hate that it got from the very one whom it was meant for - Shah Jahan.
