Biopolitical [In]sensitives within Three Urban Jurisdictions of Algiers

This study observes how the Foucauldian model of biopolitics is transplanted into the domestic and civic dimensions of traditional and colonial Algiers, to legitimise authority and regulate the behaviours of individual and social bodies. Each urban jurisdiction is interrogated for its respective biopolitical [in]sensitivities.
